The project has now finished but the work continues. You can find links to all of our outputs on the Project Deliverables tab at the top of this page and in the next week or so we will be linking to a video that explains the functioning of Pineapple.
If you have any questions or comments you can email us – details are on the Contact tab.

Apologies for the lack of news from us but we’ve been busy working away on the last few aspects of the project. One additional part of this is the benefits realisation work we have been funded to do by JISC in collaboration with Staffordshire University. We have been looking at their APEL policy, drawing it up into a process and then implementing this within our Pineapple Core tool.
The Pineapple and Telstar projects ran an APEL Assembly at JISC event in Oxford yesterday. It was a good chance to have indepth discussions about some of the more knotty issues, such as group APEL claims, and to get colleagues’ views about some of the issues we have encountered.
We were very pleased to see that Pineapple products came first in the lunchtime Trade Fair. Many thanks to colleagues who voted for us and we hope that you find your products useful. Please check back for final versions of everything when the project is nearer to completion.
Pineapple attended the JISC Joint Information Forum event at Egham this week. This was the first JIF I have attended and I found it a really useful event from a practical project management perspective. We were delighted to get the award for best poster.
The team attended the Sustaining Innovation via Organisational Development Workshop on Monday June 7th at Staffordshire University. There were plenty of interesting debates during the workshops that were held throughout the day and we contributed a session on APEL and the Pineapple tool.
In London fo the JISC annual confe
rence, some of the pineapple team took the opportunity to visit its namesake the Pineapple Dance Studio. No sign of Louie though!
Attended a JISC Lifelong Learning and Workforce Development Programme meeting last week. It was a good opportunity to talk to people from other projects and find out what they are doing and it turns out that there is a lot of common ground when it comes to tackling APEL issues. I made some interesting contacts that I hope to follow up.
The Pineapple baseline report can now be downloaded from http://hdl.handle.net/10293/356 . It covers local policy (University of Plymouth), looks at drivers, models and stakeholders. We hope you will find it useful.
Rob and Harriet enjoyed a very useful assembly last week. Thanks go to Ibrar and the team at Bradford for hosting the event. It was good to get a chance to share ideas and discuss specific issues about APEL in HE – lots to think about!
